The Aligning Science Across Parkinson’s (ASAP) initiative offers competitive funding opportunities to the scientific community, including supporting Collaborative Research Network (CRN) teams advancing Parkinson’s disease (PD) research.
ASAP currently supports high-risk, large-scale, ambitious projects across five themes. Funded teams will join our network of international, multidisciplinary, and multi-institutional investigators who are working to address high-priority research questions in an effort to accelerate the pace of discovery for (PD) and drive new ideas into the R&D pipeline.
In 2025, ASAP hosted two open competitive funding opportunities for the research community to expand the CRN under two new themes and provide additional capital to spur discovery for PD research.
ASAP works with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research to implement the award process.
For more details on current funding opportunities and application guidelines, visit the ASAP Funding Opportunities page.
We are focused on priority scientific themes related to PD, based in part on underfunded research areas identified through ASAP’s substantial planning process.
