The Aligning Science Across Parkinson’s initiative believes that scientific progress can be accelerated when researchers exchange ideas early and often, in a collaborative rather than competitive manner.
In keeping with this belief, the ASAP Collaborative Research Network (CRN) emphasizes team-based science to foster an environment that facilitates the rapid and free exchange of scientific ideas to spark new discoveries for Parkinson’s disease (PD).
Teams are awarded grant funding through request for applications in partnership with the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF).

The research conducted by CRN Teams fall into one of several broad scientific themes, which are designed to enhance our understanding of Parkinson’s disease.
