Bishal has been trying to understand how trafficking of lipids across inter-organellar junctions is essential to maintain the structural and functional integrity of neurons. His work on lipid transfer at membrane contact sites has been awarded with the Alan Hall Award by the Journal of Cell Biology in the ASCB-EMBO 2020 meeting.
