Darren is Professor and Chair of the Department of Neurodegenerative Science, Van Andel Institute, Michigan. His graduate studies focused on the neuropharmacology of purinergic GPCRs with Piers Emson at the University of Cambridge, and he conducted post-doctoral training on pathophysiological mechanisms of PD with Ted Dawson at Johns Hopkins University .
