Samara Reck-Peterson

Sam is a Professor in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine and the Division of Biological Sciences at the University of California San Diego and an Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. She was a postdoctoral fellow with Ron Vale at UCSF, where she began studying the dynein motor. Her awards include an NIH New Innovator Award, a Rita Allen Milton Cassel Award, and an HHMI Simmons Faculty Scholar Award.
