Sreeganga Chandra is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Neurology and Neuroscience, Yale University. She is also the Deputy Chair for the Department of Neuroscience. Dr. Chandra did her postdoctoral training with Dr. Edward Koo at UC San Diego and Thomas Südhof at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. The Chandra laboratory explores two inter-related themes –synapse maintenance and neurodegeneration. In particular, the lab investigates Parkinson’s disease genes and risk alleles that encode synaptic proteins and how they impact synaptic structure, function and neuronal health.
