Shan is a genetic epidemiologist with deep expertise in leveraging human genetics in a
drug development setting. He currently lead shuman genetics efforts at Denali Therapeutics, including target discovery, biomarker development, and patient selection strategies leveraging internal and external GWAS, WES, and WGS data. He has extensive experience integrating human genetics with functional genomics data (e.g., CRISPR screens, QTLs) to uncover disease mechanisms and therapeutic opportunities.
