Jerome Baufreton is a CNRS Research Director at the Institute of Neurodegenerative Diseases (IMN, UMR5293) and the head of the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Bordeaux. He studied basal ganglia physiology and especially dopamine modulation of subthalamic nucleus (STN) and external globus pallidus (GPe) neuron excitability.
