My research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration, with emphasis on α-synuclein structure, aggregation, and its impact on neuronal function. I investigate how changes in protein structure and cellular environment drive pathological phenotypes, including synaptic dysfunction, mitochondrial impairment, neuroinflammation, and neuronal loss. My work integrates genetically modified animal models with histology, molecular and biochemical assays, imaging, behavioral analysis, proteomics, and quantitative data analysis. I also have expertise in Alzheimer’s disease, traumatic brain injury, cerebrovascular dysfunction, and mitochondrial biology. In parallel, I have experience in scientific data management, reproducible workflows, FAIR data practices, and data-sharing strategies. I aim to connect molecular mechanisms with tissue-level pathology and clinically relevant phenotypes while building collaborative, reproducible research framework that accelerate discovery translation.
