Sjors is a group leader at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK, where he also jointly heads the Structural Studies Division with Lori Passmore. He studied Chemsitry at Utrecht University in The Netherlands, and he did a postdoc at the Centro Nacional de Biotecnologia in Madrid Spain, before setting up his group in Cambridge. He is a fellow of the UK Royal Society and the UK Academy of Medical Sciences.
